Festival Ethics & House Rules

  • Respect the vibe. Feel free to film your experience at the festival, but please keep your phone brightness low and do not use any flash.
  • Filming in the Boiler Room stage is not allowed.
  • We’ve got our own media team. As specified in our T & C, by attending you consent to being photographed, filmed or featured.
  • We understand that some attendees may require medication for medical conditions. We allow physician-prescribed medication that has not expired. If you have such medication, you must show the physician’s prescription and consult with a security officer upon entry.

Awareness & Harm Reduction

Awareness Tent: If you’re overwhelmed or need a secure space, find the awareness tent. Staff at the main entrance or merch store can guide you.

Festival Guidelines:

  • Dance floors are sacred safe spaces; dangerous behavior is not tolerated.
  • If unwell, step back, hydrate, and ask friends for help. Paramedics are available.
  • Look for the Awareness Team in light blue tees or visit their tent.
  • Rest, festival days are long. Go home; don’t make it an endurance contest.

Key Advice:

  • Keep hydrated: Drink water, alternate with soft drinks, and consider electrolytes to reduce hangovers.
  • Be respectful: Always ask for consent; “no” means “no.”
  • Know your limits: Be mindful of alcohol and drug intake. Pacing yourself will help you enjoy the festival.
  • Don’t forget to go home: Listen to your body, let friends know, and ensure safe travel. Rest and eat well the next day.

Feeling Unwell (Blurry Vision, Fast Heart, Hot Flushes):

  • Stop! Seek help from friends.
  • Move to a less crowded, ventilated area.
  • Concentrate on breathing, sip water.
  • Have a friend stay with you.
  • Symptoms are likely temporary.
  • Do not consume any more substances (including caffeine & energy drinks).
  • If still unwell, seek medical attention. If in doubt, always call for medical assistance; you won’t get in trouble.
  • Less is always more.

Harassment (Sexual Advances, Unwanted Touching):

  • This is not tolerated!
  • Report incidents to security personnel or the Awareness Team (navy blue shirts).
  • Be an active bystander; report any incidents you observe to help others.

Think Twice! Don’t Drink & Drive

Do not drive under the influence of any substances. Driving while impaired can have serious consequences for both you and others on the road. Do the right thing and choose a safe method of transport. Pre-book our festival bus or take a taxi.

Stage Capacity

Most of the stages at our festival offer a club-like intimate experience. This setting allows for a more engaging and immersive experience.

This also means the some stages may reach capacity at times during the festival. If a stage is full, you may be restricted from entering to ensure everyone’s safety and enjoyment. If a stage has reached capacity, we will use a one-out, one-in policy, and you may experience queuing and waiting times.

We suggest planning ahead and arriving at the stage early if there are any acts you really want to see. Here’s a link to the festival timetable.

DJ Booths

Some of the stages (Opening party, Boiler Room, Orbit & Midnite) at the festival will provide a specially designed backstage area behind the DJ Booth. This elevated area is open to everyone, and no special ticket access is required.

Please be mindful and avoid leaning over the booth with drinks or to film. Any behaviour that may distract the performing artist in any way is not allowed. The use of flash is also prohibited.

Ensure that no drinks are placed on the DJ booth or any technical equipment.

Lockers

To provide a secure and convenient place to store your belongings during the festival, we offer lockers for rent. Get your key from the merchandise stand at the festival grounds.
