Owen Jay

In Malta Owen Jay needs no introduction. Since the mid 90’s he’s been a fundamental pillar towards the development of the local underground electronic scene, and it has always been his mission and passion to steer away from commercialism.

He runs the label Batti Batti and has released music on several renowned labels such as DeepArtSounds, Moods & Grooves (Detroit), Ornate, Cement, Contrast-Wax, Deep Explorer, Housewax, Metrolux and Hizou just to name a few. He also co-produces under the aliases Parallaks (alongside Ed Blank) and Gauss (alongside Natan H). Jay loves various styles of music and this is reflected in his productions as well as his DJ sets.
